Deeply coloured, with a bouquet of herbs and spices and good depth of cherry, spice and olive flavours, seasoned with nutty oak. Weighty, rich wine that impressed the panel more with power than finesse.

Fruit driven, this wine is rich and dark with red cherries, raspberries and violets on the nose, along with well integrated French oak and creaminess from the malolactic fermention. Subtle smoky oak characters and bright berry fruit flavours on the palate and a nice velvety finish make this a delightfully harmonious Pinot Noir.

This Marlborough producer has made a ripe blueberry- and cherry-scented 2010 pinot that carries plenty of allure. The palate's smoky cherry flavours run on fine, even tannins; gentle chew to close. Good balance here.

Dark berry fruits on the nose combine with a savoury spiciness and chocolate tones which are supported by the French oak. The palate displays a well balanced range of characteristic pinot fruit flavours with dark cherry & plum, nice acidity, integrated mouth-filling tannins and oak, with chocolate complexities.

Having great depth of colour this beautifully fragrant 2008 Pinot Noir shows ripe plum, cherry fruit, dried herbs and spice characters along with impressive weight, concentration and complexity. With well ingrated French oak this wine is rich and dense, elegant with velvety tannins. The finish is enticing and long.
