Allan Scott Estate Winery

Allan Scott Wines is a family owned winery in Marlborough New Zealand. It’s a truly family affair with the Scott seniors overseeing every aspect of the operation, their son Josh is the winemaker while the two daughters Sara and Victoria are viticulturalist and marketing manager respectively. As befitting the region, the Scott’s specialise in Sauvignon Blanc.

Allan Scott Location

The Scott Vineyards are located in Marlborough with vineyards planted in the Rapaura area along the northern edge of the Wairau Valley, an area which is prized in the region. With some plantings up to 30 years old, different soil types and vine ages are utilised to give a broad range of flavours. There are four distinct sites used to source fruit as well as using contract growers in the region.

Allan Scott Wine Styles

The core styles in the Scott portfolio are aromatic whites including Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurtztraminer. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are also produced and when conditions deem fit late harvest styles are also produced.

Allan Scott Wine Brands

The estate is divided into three brands, The Estate Range, the Single Vineyard Range and the Scott Base which include three wines from Central Otago.

Allan Scott Winery

The Allan Scott Winery can be found in Marlborough’s golden mile on Jackson’s Road between Rapaura and Old Renwick Roads, winery tours can be booked in advance. There is a Cellar Door where you can purchase current release and aged wines as well as the opportunity to eat at the famed Twelve Trees restaurant.
