Amberley Estate was founded in 1985 and in 1990 produced its first vintage. It has since been acquired by Constellation Wines Australia and continues to win awards and acclaim as the vines gain age. Wine maker Dan Stoker aims to capture the essence of the Margaret River region, producing wines with powerful fruit flavours yet retaining the renowned regional elegance.
Amberley Estate Location
Amberley Estate lies within the Yallingup region of the Margaret River, surrounded by Jarrah and Marri tree-lined slopes with this location chosen for its good water supply, sheltered east facing slopes and deep, free draining rich soils.
Amberley Estate Philosophy
Upholding the philosophy that great wines start in the vineyard, Amberley Estate carefully tend a range of varietals with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and, unusually for the region, Shiraz, showing great promise. In addition, their significant plantings of Merlot and Viognier fit with the company profile ‘to be the leader in crafting high quality wines from unique varieties, not commonly found in the Margaret River region’. This bravery has recently been rewarded with their 2007 Shiraz Viognier winning a trophy at the 2009 Sydney Show as the leading Shiraz/Viognier blend.
Amberley Estate Wine Types
Chenin Blanc continues to yield the greatest volumes, however other Amberley Estate varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Noblesse, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier and Semillon.

Brilliant and bright, the wine is pale staw in colour with green tinges. Fresh aromas of passionfruit and lemon & lime zest are complemented by hints of jasmine flowers and nettles. A mouth-filling wine with a generous and textured palate, fl...
