Any Wines from Nepenthe
Powerful and extracted but ageing and tiring, this meaty and rather vegetal cabernet blend just lacks the density and ripeness to counter its slightly raw astringency. Backed by cedar/chocolate oak and suggestions of capsicum, there's some plum and blackberry fruit, but it finishes slightly short, with an edgy, metallic aspect.

Colour: Pale and delicate, starting to deepen and develop a golden hue. Bouquet: Deliciously aromatic with fresh lemon, lime and citrus blossom. Palate: Delicate yet crisp and zesty, developing mouth-filling flavours of ripe apricot and toasty notes with a long, fine finish.
