Bay of Fires is a premium quality Tasmanian winery owned by the multinational Constellation wines that has made a name for itself for superb and stylish aromatic reds and whites made from 100% Tasmanian fruit.
The great strength in all the wines from Bay of Fires is their tremendous elegance and restraint, largely due to the cool Tasmanian climate and talents of Chief winemaking Fran Austin, whom was awarded the prestigious title of Qantas/ Gourmet Traveller Young Winemaker of the Year in 2005.

While the Cellar Door is located on the Pipers River in Northern Tasmania Bay of Fires sources fruit from all parts of the island including Pipers River, Tamar Valley, Coal River Valley, East Coast, Huon Valley and Derwent River Valley.

Bay of Fires production revolves solely around grape varieties and styles that will flourish in the cool Tasmanian climate. Sparkling wines are strong here, both the Sparkling Brut and Rose. Great strength is also seen in the aromatic varietals of Riesling and Pinot Gris with all showing superb texture. Pinot Noir is also a house specialty and in top vintages can showcase the synergy between Tasmania and this holy grail of grapes.
