A venture between winemaker Briony and viticulturist Tony Hoare, this rather exciting new operation has a particular focus on Mediterranean varieties (no doubt due to the fact that Briony did a vintage in Piedmont, Northern Italy) with considerable acclaim also heaped on the companies Shiraz and Grenache blends.
Beach Road Wines History
Briony and Tony have both spent well over 15 years in the wine industry, having met studying wine at Roseworthy. After extensive experience growing grapes and making wine for larger wine companies, they struck out on their own in 2005 starting a consultancy business before launching Beach Road Wines in 2007.
Beach Road Philosophy
'Bri and Tony’s passion for wine is about flavour, and texture. We don’t like getting too fussy about wine, and fancy words don’t impress. Wine should just taste good, and help celebrate a moment. That said we are still committed to making the best and most interesting wines we can for Beach Road Wines. We love developing new varieties, and will continue to offer interesting small parcels as we make them. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.'
Beach Road Wine Types
Beach Road is renowned for it's 'alternative varieties', particularly of Italian origin. Such highly regarded rarities as Greco di Tufo, Fiano and Primitivo, sit alongside Shiraz Grenache and a Petit Verdot.
