The Brothers In Arms story spans five generations and reflects the cumulative efforts of the Adams family and their forebears in South Australia’s Langhorne Creek wine region.
William Formby planted the first Shiraz and Cabernet vines on Metala estate in 1891, supplying fruit for some of South Australia’s legendary red wines. After much success, the Adams family decided to develop their own wine label, and in 1998, Brothers in Arms was launched.
Today, William’s great-great grandson, Guy Adams continues to follow suit, proud of his family’s heritage and committed to maintaining a property that has a unique place in Australian winemaking history.
