The tale of Campbells and Winemaking began in the 1870’s when John Campbell planted the original Bobbie Burns Vineyard in Victoria’s Rutherglen Wine Region.
Four generations on, brothers Malcolm and Colin Campbell celebrate their great grandfather’s winemaking legacy through the production of a range of outstanding fortified wines. The awards and accolades speak for themselves with all wines from the reasonably priced red and white table wines through to the highly prized fortifieds all having achieved some level of show success.
Campbells Philosophy
The Campbells family strives to capture the powerful characters seen in the wines from Rutherglen without allowing the wines to become too overblown nor ovverripe. Great importance is placed on nurturing wine from vine to bottle and both brothers agree, “quality at the expense of quantity is our aim”.Campbells Winemaking
With Colin as Winemaker and Malcolm as Viticulturist, the Campbell brothers are committed to working with their unique climate to create structured and regionally distinctive estate grown wines that underpin the unique relationship between Rutherglen soil, vine and the art of winemaking. For the fortified wines, their aims are to create the most complex and longlived wines of their style in the world.Campbells Wine Types
