Chambers Rosewood Vineyard
Home to 80 year old non-irrigated vines with low yields, Chambers Rosewood grapes are packed with concentrated flavour and palate richness typical of the wines from Rutherglen.
Chambers Rosewood Wine Types
Aside from its rare and grand fortified varieties Muscadelle and Muscat, Chambers Rosewood produces dry wines from Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mondeuse and Durif.
Chambers Rosewood Winemaking
Winemaking is traditional here at Chambers Rosewood, particularly for the fortified wines with raisined grapes pressed to produce a rich and viscous nectar that is partially fermented before addition of spirit. Then the maturation begins in old barrels that heat and cool with the seasons until late bottling sometimes after decades in barrel giving unique and complex wines of the highest quality.
