The Cirillo name might be new to many people but the estate itself is definitely not, with the core of the business a 150 year old, carefully nurtured Barossan vineyard that has been farmed by the Cirillo family since 1973

Cirillo Vineyard

First planted in 1850, the Cirillo vineyard contains 6 hectares of gnarled old Grenache, Shiraz and Semillon vines (plus some more recently planted Mataro) in the prime sub region of Light Pass. The vineyard itself has deep sand over limestone soils that allow for the ideal combination of free draining topsoils and water holding subsoil. It's also all hand tended by Marco Cirillo and his family, with the sublime looking bush vines requiring the utmost attention to keep them fully producing. Most of the fruit is sold off (for top prices) to Torbreck, with only a smidgen retained for the Cirillo label.

Cirillo Wine Types

With all of the wines sourced from the estate vineyard, the wine range is absolutely focused on classic Barossan styles, with the main exception (of sorts) being the delicious savoury Rose. Otherwise the range includes a Semillon and two Grenache (at this stage).
