Labelled ‘the highest and most remote vineyard in the Pyrenees’ Dalwhinnie hang their hat on Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz wines that have formidable cellaring potential. These wines have captured the attention of serious wine heads over the past 25 years, and recent vertical tastings have shown the wine’s ability to mould to the ups-and-downs of vintages.
A marriage of vineyard site, soil, climate and suitable varieties has helped to continue the fine reputation of Dalwhinnie as one of Australia’s significant vineyard sites.
Dalwhinnie Location

Dalwhinnie Wine Types
Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are premier varieties. The fruit is grown on estate vineyards.
Dalwhinnie Brands
Moonambel graces the core range of wines from Dalwhinnie with ‘Eagle Series’ for their reserve wine.
Dalwhinnie Winery
Exacting standards in the winery, and a depth of understanding of the terroir of their site, has helped the Jones family create the formidable, impressive wines that they produce today. Oak handling is judicious but all consuming for the fruit, becoming an important part of the complexity of the wines.

Dalwhinnie is one of those cult wineries you just can't get enough of. This lovely little cab sav is from an epic vintage in Victoria, and shows lovely blackcurrant, toast and espresso aromas on the nose, whilst the palate is beautifully balanced ...
Good pale straw colour, some lovely tropical passionfruit and pear fruit aromas with a hint of spice, quite light and crunchy with a slight savoury edge on the palate. Fresh and crisp. Enjoy over the summer months.
