De Iuliis Location and History
The De Iluliis vineyard is located on Lovedale Road in the Lower Hunter Valley. It is framed by the magnificent Brokenback mountain range.The property was purchased in 1987 and after several years of soil preparation the first vines were planted in 1990.
De Iuliis Winemaking and Philosphy
The De Iluliis family vision is to produce wines of excellent quality that proudly bear their name. They make classic Hunter Valley semillon, shiraz and chardonnay styles.Verdelho and the flagship product Merlot. The flagship De DeLuliis merlot and verdelho are also produced. A total of 15 hectares of vineyard produces a low yielding annual crush of 100 tonnes, resulting in concentrated fruit. Winemaker Michael De Iuliis aims to maintain a family tradition of outstanding quality.
