Driftwood Estate Location and History
Driftwood Estate Winery is located within the Western Australian wine growing region of Margaret River. The combination of soil, climate and viticultural practices create quality fruit with intense varietal characteristics.
Driftwood Estate Wine Styles
The Driftwood team believe quality wines are made in the vineyard. Situated at Yallingup, Driftwood is fortunately located in one of the greatest viticultural areas in the world. They are able to source super premium fruit consistently each year. The winemaking philosophy is centred around protecting and expressing the natural qualities of the grape. Driftwood wines can be divided into oaked and unoaked categories. The unoaked styles include fresh and aromatic sauvignon blanc and semillon. They are made using aromatic yeast strains and cool fermentation temperatures to preserve vibrant fruit flavor. Wooded wines are more complex, showing French and American oak. They are mindful that oak enhances and complements the fruit and wines are always in balance.

Chocolate, but rather earthy. Developed, lacking freshness and fruit in the mouth. Fair wine, but quite drying in its tannins. And lacks detail.
Light yellow colour. Herbal aroma, fruit-driven and a wee bit grassy. Attractive wine, some passionfruit and lemon on the palate. Oak is invisible. OK balance and style without great intensity or complexity, though. A bit green.
