Dutschke are Barossa Valley royalty and produce wines from ancient vineyards from traditional Barossa Valley varieties. Lyndoch in the Barossa is the home base for the winery.
1975 saw a reinvigoration of family land for the Dutschke family with serious plantings of grape vines going on in that year. Though the family had a history with wine influence in it dating back generations, it wasn’t until the late 1970s that earnest wine production began. Initially being produced for other wine making businesses, the family decided to keep back fruit to create their won wines in 1990.
Dutschke Wine Types
Full bodied reds are the order of the day here. Full throttle, unashamedly bold and full bodied, the wines range across tried and tested Barossa varieties of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Finished wines across a variety of price points can be single or blended varietal wine.
Dutschke Brands
Willowbend tips in at the entry level with its easy going red blends for early drinking. The range continues through St Jakobi and Greenock Shirazes to the prized Oscar Semmler, Single Barrel, GHR and Sami wines.
Dutschke Winery
