The search for high quality Pinot Noir can be very pleasurable for the palate, but is often hard on the pocket. The Eradus has everything you want in a Pinot Noir and doesn’t disappoint on price or quality. Its nose offers cherry aromas along with savoury notes and these flavours flow through onto its fine, silky palate. The finish is long and savoury, making it ideal with a mushroom risotto.

Sometimes you’ve just got to follow your dreams. That’s how Eradus wines came to be, it was the vision of two people who gave up the rat race in Holland and moved to the wilds of New Zealand to run a winery. They have not looked back and this wine is part of that vision. It’s flinty and tropical on the nose before delivering a tidal wave of flavour. Zesty and tight with clean and refreshing acids this is a winner with seafood.

Funny name, pleasurable wine. This is a lovely peachy Pinot Gris from sunny Marlborough that has lots of sunny juicy fruit and the sort of textural richness that you really want to see in Pinot Gris. Or at least we think so. Nice.

Sauvignon Blanc may get all the attention in NZ, but it is Pinot Gris that we often believe makes some of the more interesting wines. Witness this juicy Pinot Gris, built in a richer, sexy time style, this has sweet honeyed fruit and a creamy finish.

This will please any Pinot Noir fan. More so once the price is revealed. It has complex, fresh cherry fruit with savoury overtones. Perfectly judged tannins with vibrant acidity make it hard to drink just one glass. Excellent length. Elegant. Congratulations Michiel! This is a clear demonstration of just how brilliant the Awatere Valley is for Marlborough Pinot.
