Established in 1981, Grosset Wines is a benchmark producer of wines and home to arguably Australia’s best Rieslings. Winemaker and proprietor Jeffrey Grosset is a leading international expert on Riesling and applies his depth of skill to crafting extraordinary wines of depth and complexity. Detail is key and expert experience is now second nature in the winemaking process.

Grosset Wines Location

Located at the southern tip of the Clare Valley near the township of Auburn, Grosset Wines occupies 20 hectares of vineyards. Vineyard sites include plantings in the Polish Hill and Watervale sub-regions and a planting just below the region’s highest peak – the source of the marquee ‘Gaia’ Cabernet Sauvignon blend.

Grosset Wine Types

Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot.

Grosset Brands

The range is only six wines but the marquee wines are the Polish Hill, Springvale Watervale Rieslings and the Gaia Cabernet blend.

Grosset Winery

Though vineyard site is paramount to the winemaking process, fruit is handled with dexterity and expertise to illicit the nuances of each grape. Small batch ferments and a hands on approach drive the small winemaking team. Older oak and stainless steel are primary in the winemaking process.

Jeffrey Grosset has spent thirty years mastering Riesling, but he’s adept at other varieties too and his take on Adelaide Hills Pinot is utterly captivating. Only a small amount of this was made so you’d best be quick if you want to share in this ...
