Happs and Three Hills Location and History

The Happ family have been proud Western Australians since 1890. The story of Happs Winery and Three Hills is a tale of passion and vision over the past 40 years. Erl and Ros Happ first established Happs winery in 1978. They were inspired by the promise of great potential in the Margaret River wine region after John Gladstones published his famous report. They have steadfastly pursued their objective ever since. The first vineyards were established in Dunsborough and the Three Hills Estate followed 15 years later at Karridale, 100km to the south. The cool climate of the Karridale district is highly favorable to quality production and across a wide range of grape varieties.
