Hardys All Wines
Dripping with show medals and critical acclaim this is very much an 'icon level' Australian Shiraz. Just calling it that is glossing over how approachable a wine it is - rich and ripe, yet also polished and well made. Top shelf Shiraz, no question about it.

The palate Is rich but stylish, being of medium to full body with ripe elegantly structured tannins providing a fine balance between the varietal fruit characters and the subtle Integration of French oak. This is a cracking 'pour me another glass' Vale Cabernet, a wine of richness and depth, carrying both the leafy aromatics of proper Cabernet Sauvignon and the classic mid palate of Vale reds. Don't tell anyone, but this is even better than the Shiraz too (controversial!).

Hardys Awards and Accolades If there were a prize for the perfect winter red, this version of Tintara Shiraz would be a contender. Big, rich style – real...
Think McLaren Vale, think Tintara Shiraz... From an excellent vintage in McLaren Vale, this was made in the classical fashion - in open fermenters and basket presses (the proper old school way). Net result is a wonderfully rich and vibrant red of plumpness and weight.
A multi-regional blend, this combines the best limey juiciness of Clare Valley fruit with the line and length of Tasmanian fruit, the combination sublimely powerful, clean and really quite beautiful. Very impressive Riesling.

Palate: Soft and flavoursome with an elegance of structure and persistence of flavour, this sparkling wine exhibits an aged style with crisp acid finish. Food: Seafood.
Sparkling Shiraz does not get the kudos it deserves but every now and again we love to champion the style as we don’t believe you have to wait till Christmas to crack one. This draws on parcels of Clare valley fruit. It’s loaded with cherry and mulberry jam as well as choc coated licorice and elements of spice before an immense palate of raspberry and spice with a hint of vanilla oak. It’s layered and long with really textured tannins and would pair well with roast duck.
Colour: Deep red. Bouquet: Plum and blackcurrants with a touch of spice and cigar box oak. Palate: Generous sweet, ripe plum and stewed red berry fruits with spicy oak characters on the finish. Food: Duck a l'orange. Moroccan spiced lamb.
This wine is something of a stalwart in terns of Australian sparkling, showing that Australia could consistently make good sparkling wines at a very fair price. The fact that this sparkling is made by superhero sparkling maker Ed Carr certainly helps, Ed working his magic to make this blend of Yarra Valley, Tasmania and Tumbarumba fruit an absolute winner.
Colour: Straw. Bouquet: Lifted ripe stone fruit characters of white peach and nectarine with toasty oak hints adding complexity. Palate: Stone complemented by vanillin oak and a tight acid structure providing backbone and length. Fruit and lively citrus characters. Food: Seafood and chicken dishes.
They say don’t judge a book by its cover, well the same goes for a wine by its label, as the Oomoo brand looks very retro. Nothing retro about the taste here though as it’s a thoroughly modern red that’s high in flavour and full of texture. Lifted with red, berry fruits, violets and spice this blend really delivers with impact. The palate is rich with generous Shiraz fruit, dominant in raspberry as a result of the Grenache and savoury and earthy thanks to the addition of Mourvedre. It’s a bold mouthful of a wine with good tannin weight that would match well with a steak and kidney pie.
Harvested during the early morning, the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is destemmed and crushed immediately ensuring extraction of good, supple tannins. The resulting wines also have good supple tannins, great colour intensity, aromatics and spice. Colour: Deep red to purple hues Bouquet: Rich nose of blackcurrant and sweet aromatic mocha oak with lifted aromas of sage and mint. Palate: Intense blackcurrant and red fruit characters integrate well with subtle French oak. Firm and even tannins support the fruit giving the wine great length. Food: Slow cooked duck, rabbit and herb pie Terra Rossa beef Rosemary and salt marinated lamb cutlets
