The name Jim Barry is legendary not only in the Clare Valley, but also in the Aussie wine industry. Established by Jim Barry in 1959, the wines are some of the best known Aussies on the world stage with iconic labels like the Armagh and McRae Wood Shiraz and Florita Riesling flying the flag. Sadly, Jim passed away in 2004, however, his tribe of ‘kids’ took over to carry on the legacy with his son, Peter, as ‘head honcho.’
The Wines
At Jim Barry Wines, the philosophy is to develop the best fruit flavours from their vineyards in the Clare Valley and Coonawarra, whilst using the best winemaking innovation and technology. The result is consistently good wines that gain international critical acclaim and win trophies and gold medals at capital wine shows like the Sydney Royal.
