Massoni are a boutique operation that almost became very large, but never quite got there. First established in 1984 by Leon Massoni, the winery draws fruit from the enormous Glenkara vineyard in the Pyrenees as well as a smaller property on the Mornington Peninsula. It has been through something of a state of turmoil ever since a failed bid to float the company.
Massoni Wine Types
Drawing from two distinctly different terroirs (Mornington Peninsula and the Pyrenees) has resulted in a very diverse range of wines from this producer, including a sparkling white, a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Barbera, Sangiovese and Shiraz.
