Moët et Chandon - known simply as Moet - are the largest Champagne producers in the world, with the winery owners the luxury good organisation LVMH. Moet, the wine business itself, was first established in 1743 by the Epernay Champagne trader Claude Moët. Over the years since the company has grown to be a Champagne monolith, with the house gobblling up other wineries such as Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and Krug along the way. Moet are also the producers of Dom Perignon.
Moet Wine Types
Moet produce jsut Champagne, with the range starting at the basic non vintage wines, including the famous 'Brut Imperial' and moving up through the sweeter 'Nectar' then the rose. The next step on the tier is the vintage wines (of which there is a standard white and a rose). Dom Perignon is a different brand per se, but it is the top Moet wine.
