Founded in 1993, Munari Wines is the creation of Adrian and Deborah Munari. It is located in the foothills of the Mount Ida Ranges in the Heathcote region, Victoria, on one of the oldest farming properties in the area. The aim of Munari Wines is to have a sense of adventure in their wines and capture the regional expression.
The Vineyard
All fruit is sourced from Munari’s own 7 hectare Ladys Creek Vineyard planted to Shiraz, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines enjoy a temperate climate in the Heathcote region, and their roots sit in deep red soils on an ancient Cambrian greenstone foundation.
Wine Styles
Adrian is the winemaker and ever since his first release in 1996, his philosophy has been to understand his vineyard site, grow the appropriate varietals and to compliment traditional winemaking techniques with modern methods. The wine styles are fruit-driven and concentrated and can be enjoyed young or after a couple of years in the cellar.
