The Tweddell family purchased their first vineyard site in Lenswood in 1994, planting the site to Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel. They have been uncompromising in their pursuit of wines that express regional character, yet have found a middle ground with successful commercial styles. Nepenthe have been varied in consistency, but a return to form with more faithful to site wines, in the past few vintages, has reinvigorated their appeal.
