O'Leary Walker Wines Winery

O'Leary Walker wines is the joint project of wine industry veterans David O'Leary and Nick Walker, pairing together two men whom first put labels like Annie's Lane on the map in the mid 90's. The boys operate a large facility based in the Clare Valley that focuses on contract winemaking as well as crafting a small selection of Clare Valley centric wines under the O'Leary Walker label

O'Leary Walker Vineyards

Whilst the boys source fruit from all over South Australia (including the Clare Valley, Barossa and Adelaide Hills) some of the best fruit comes from the Clare Valley itself. Of particular note is the Grace's vineyard in Watervale which supplies Riesling for the lauded 'Watervale Riesling' label. Grace's is a dry grown, west facing vineyard that sits on the classic 'red loam over limestone' Watervale soils and produces wonderful Riesling fruit. Similarly, the Smith's and Molloy's vineyard in the Polish Hill River area also contributes wonderfully intense Riesling fruit of the highest order.

O'Leary Walker Wine Types

The O'Leary Walker range focuses on some premium regional varietals, taking the best bits from all around South Australia. The wines then include two sub-regional Clare Valley Rieslings, a Clare Valley Semillon, Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and a Clare valley/McLaren Vale Shiraz, as well as a superb single vineyard Clare Valley Shiraz known as the Claire Reserve.
