Other Whites Wines from Deep Woods Estate
Aromatic tropical fruit salad with contrasting lemon/citrus notes move seamlessly from the bouquet onto the palate; succeeds admirably where most verdelhos fail.
Light- to medium-bodied; fruit salad flavours enlivened by a jab of citrus on the finish.
Colour: Pale straw in colour with vivid green hues. Aroma: The wine delivers lashings of fresh mandarin, pineapple, grapefruit, and kaffir lime leaf aromas. Palate: The palate offers tremendous depth of flavour and intensity whilst the textural mid-palate adds dimension and complexity. A refreshing backbone of natural grape acidity adds to the delicate crispness while providing structure and length.
A pleasant wine, but why perfectly good Margaret River vineyards should be used to grow this (or chenin blanc) I don't know - other than for cash flow benefits, of course.

Colour: Pale straw in colour with vivid green hues. Aroma: The wine delivers lashings of fresh mandarin, grapefruit, and lime juice aromas. Palate: The wine is medium-sweet and offers tremendous depth of flavour and intensity while the unctuous mid-palate adds dimension and complexity. A refreshing backbone of natural grape acidity adds a freshness that is balanced with the elevated sugar levels, both providing structure, length and a dry finish.
An interesting, musky, fruit wine with a tight core of citrus and balancing acidity.
Palish colour; slight confectionery aromas plus crushed green herbs and fresh tanginess. A trace of snow pea. Same in mouth: it's soft and fruity with crisp herbal and green melon flavours, a tickle of sweetness mid-palate, then a cleansing acid finish that is nicely balanced and lingering. Better length than most verdelhos. Nice wine, crisp and clean and lip-smacking.
Now here's an interesting take on verdelho. ItÕs been picked pretty early to capture some zing and zip which expresses itself on the palate. Funk tones on the nose and a rich yet restrained palate makes for a rather impressive alternative to the standard pure fruit verdelho. I like it.
Very light yellow/green colour. Some pawpaw-like tropical fruit aromas and a little muskstick. Soft, simple, fruity taste with a relatively clean, dry middle and finish. Rather broad, and a little grippy and clumsy on the tongue. Not a delicate nor fine wine. But has weight and flavour and presence. Fair average drinking white wine
