Paringa Estate was established in 1985 by winemaker and owner Lindsay McCall with a focus on Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. It is one of Australia’s most successful wineries in wine shows, amassing swathes of accolades for its Pinot Noir and Shiraz in particular. McCall is unafraid of individuality, and has been praised for his unique, complex and detailed wines.
Paringa Estate Location
Paringa Estate’s home vineyard and winery are located in the picturesque surrounds of Red Hill South in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula wine region. The home vineyard is fully planted to 10 acres only, but production in recent years has included fruit from additional select vineyards in the region.
Paringa Estate Wine Styles
Bold and full flavoured, the Paringa Estate wines are not the shy and retiring types. Pinot Noir is dense, rich and layered while Shiraz display spices, herbal notes and concentrated fruit flavours. The Chardonnay and Pinot Gris do have some delicacy, but they too are full of varietal flavour and complexity.
Paringa Estate Brands
Paringa Estate wines are separated into the ‘PE’ or Peninsula range, the Estate Series and the small quantity only made in exceptional vintage Single Vineyard – Reserve Series wines.
