2011 Paul Conti The Tuarts Chenin Blanc

Tradition, finesse and elegance are just some of the things you’ll encounter in a Paul Conti wine the first time you try one. Based just 30 minutes from Perth this Sicilian born family have been making wine since the late 40’s. We don’t see an awful lot of Chenin Blanc at Cracka but this deserves top billing as it’s very well made. Typically tropical with citrus aromas it offers a round palate, clean acids and a long finish. Drink chilled with a wide array of foods including, antipasto dishes as well as chicken or seafood.

2010 Paul Conti The Tuarts Chenin Blanc

Nose: The bouquet exhibits lifted tropical fruit flavours with hints of citrus. Palate: The generous round palate is enhanced by fresh natural acidity and a long clean finish. Food Pairing: A perfect accompaniment to a warm summer afternoon, this wine is ideally suited to Mediterranean dishes, a traditional antipasto plate or grilled seafood/chicken.

Nice clean fruit with hints of fresh green apple and likely acidity; fine and dry on the flavoursome finish

Terrifically vibrant and fruity chenin blanc from this excellent vineyard. The full0-on tropical smells are superb and provide a wonderful opening to the wine. The flavour is all fruity and delicious with a touch of lime juice to complement the finish. Lovely current drinking wine.

If you like chenin blanc, this is for you. Light- to medium-bodied, with pleasant, ripe fruit salad flavours and balanced acidity.

Wow, what a terrific zippy tropical fruit bomb we have here. A terrific vintage for this variety has thrown up this thoroughly deliciously appealing crunchy mouthful of flavour. The crisp acid sustains things perfectly.

Paul Conti makes some of Western Australia's best, richest chenin blancs, often oak-aged, from old established vineyards in the Swan District. This wine is an approachable, unwooded version designed for early drinking. It is very pungent, almost like sauvignon blanc, with great intense green apple flavours (very much chenin blanc's varietal characters) and an ultra-tangy, crisp, lingering palate. Delicious with aromatic Thai fish curries—or just on its own during summer.

True to form example of the wonderful tropical fruits that WA chenin blanc is renowned for. This one hadn't long been bottled but it was already showing superb fruit with a bright cherry palate and a fine lingering palate sustaining acidity. Very ice easy drinking

Just like his old man Paul, Jason Conti knows how to get the best out of this variety so well suited to the warm climes of the Swan. This is bursting with tropical fruits on the nose and palate, There's a lively fresh crisp acid which gives it a refreshing aftertaste. Nice current drinking.

Although not so well known outside Western Australia, this small family winery has been established at Wanneroo for more than half a century. Paul Conti and his son Jason have three vineyards in this part of the Swan District including the Tuarts vineyard at Carabooda (established in 1980) from which the fruit for this wine has been sourced. Another good example of chenin, it has lovely, fat, grassy, tropical and pineapple flavours which are balanced by crisp, lemony acidity.
