Ringbolt is located on the wild and untamed Ringbolt Bay in the Margaret River wine region. The name of the bay comes from one of the many shipwrecks scattered along the wooly southwest coastline that went down in the 1800s. What makes it so treacherous is that Ringbolt Bay is the point where the Indian and Southern Oceans converge, so the waters tend to get a bit unruly.
The Wines
Winemaker Peter Gambetta fell in love with the Margaret River back in 1986 when he produced his first wines from the region. His dream was to then explore the potential of the region, especially with Cabernet Sauvignon, which he believes has a very intense and distinctive expression. With each vintage of Ringbolt, the fruit is carefully selected and made fastidiously to ensure the wines express their varietal and regional origins.
