Rochford aims to produce premium quality wines that express the character of the vineyard. The make a range of styles to suit different consumer segments. Winemaker, Andrew Leitch works closely with the viticulture team to ensure the company’s cool climate vineyards in Macedon and Yarra Valley produce only the finest quality grapes. Pinot noir and chardonnay are Rochford’s standout wines. The new kid on the block is cool climate shiraz with fine pepper and spicy characters. Sauvignon blanc is made in the Bordeaux style.
Rochford Wines Location & History
Rochford Wines is nestled at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. The Rochford story began in the hamlet of Rochford, on the northern slopes of Victoria’s Macedon Ranges. The original property was purchased by the Konecsny family in 1998. Less than five years later, a second 32 ha property and winery was established in the Yarra Valley.
