Sandalford was established in 1840, making the winery one of Australia’s very oldest wineries and one of the largest privately owned. The Prendiville family are the figure heads of the company and come from a diverse background of industries that has seen Sandalford achieve impressive balance in its wine/tourism venture.
Sandalford Location
Sandalford wines occupies to locations in Western Australia – Margaret River and the Swan Valley. The Swan Valley winery and cellar door are located 25 minutes from Perth. The Margaret River vineyard site is one of the largest and oldest (planted 1970) in the region.
Sandalford Wine Styles
Sandalford produces a very broad range of wines, including Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chenin Blanc. Sandalford produces a range of blended wines, late harvest and ubiquitous ‘classic white’ and ‘classic red’ styles.
