Soul Growers is the work of four good mates; David ‘Westy’ Cruickshank, Paul Heinicke and the Lindner brothers, James and Paul. Together,we share almost 80 years wineindustry experience and have benefited from the knowledge generously shared with us by some of the Barossa’s pioneers and legends.We stand for everything that is great about the Barossa; shared wisdom, new ideas, mateship and a passion for making and enjoying great wine.With this in mind, we strive to make sure Soul Growers wines emphasise the regional and varietal flavours of our beloved Barossa Valley.
The essence of what we strive for is to ensure a lifestyle that is good for the Soul; wine, food, family, music, mates and fun.“Truly hand made through small parcel, open fermentation and basket pressing. No fining and no filtration.” Our winemaking style is hands on, using traditional techniques with minimal handling. Basket-pressed and open fermented, with no fining or filtration, we ensure the essence of the region and our vineyards is captured in each Soul Growers wine. This was recognized when we were voted one of the top ten new wineries in James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2007.
Soul Growers Vineyard
All Soul Growers fruit is sourced from our own vineyard as well as a select group of growers that represent a vast array of terroir and Barossa sub-regions, with vine age up to 125 years. Sourcing fruit from across the Barossa Valley floor and out to the high country of the eastern ranges of Eden Valley, means our wines reflect the layers of flavour you would expect when these sub-regions unite, achieving depth, richness and complexity.
