Founded in 1994 by Torbreck figurehead Dave Powell, a Rockford winery graduate, the winery produces premium and prestige wines from the Barossa Valley in South Australia. Select growers and vineyard sites play heavily in the portfolio, with classic varieties championed by the winemaking team.

Torbreck Location

Torbreck Vintners is a proudly Barossa Valley of South Australia based wine producer that sources fruit from a variety of old vine sources in the wine growing region. Torbreck creates wines from only select vineyards, carefully monitoring fruit from its various sites for final production.

Torbreck Wine Styles

Shiraz, Mourvèdre, Mataro, Grenache, Muscat, Frontignac, Viognier, Roussane, Marsanne are all featured in the Torbreck wines portfolio, though Shiraz is the key varietal.

Torbreck Brands

Torbreck is the core brand.

Torbreck Winery

A blend of modern and traditional technique is employed to create the wines of Torbreck. While the vineyard sites and unique fruit characters are respected highly, innovation in the winery does allow for wines of intensity, concentration and power to be created in the Torbreck house style. Judicious use of oak, natural fermentation and minimal influence do take place.

Epic. Huge. Voluptuous. Rich. Decadent. All of these words correctly describe one thing - this wine. A wine with an almost mythical reputation for excess, excessive flavours and hedonism on steroids. Crafted from some super Barossa Valley fruit...
