Wild Rock Winery

Wild Rock is a ‘cool dude’ label based in the Hawkes Bay wine region, New Zealand. They claim to take their cues from the environment and make wines with ‘A touch of abandon’ to create cool wines. There is certainly a sense of fun with this brand seen in names like Cupid’s Arrow, Gravel Pit and the personal favourite, Infamous Goose (allegedly named after a curious character that roams the Marlborough vineyards the fruit is sourced from).

Sourcing fruit from their own vineyards and various growers across a variety of New Zealand regions, such as Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Central Otago, Wild Rock create wines from varietals like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot noir and Syrah. They specialise in small batch winemaking across two winery locations in Hawkes Bay and the South Island. Stylistically, the wines vary from Citrus and stone fruit whites to rich, dark-fruited reds.
