Wild South Wines
The name wild south was chosen to mirror the raw beauty of Marlborough and to capture the essence of the region in every wine they make. Raw beauty is what winemaker Christie Brown has caught in this Pinot. We love its varietal aspect, showing vivid cherry and spice before a palate that shows immense balance between tannins and acids. It’s flavoursome long and is best drunk with earthy dishes like a wild mushroom and shredded duck ragu.

It’s not fair that Sauvignon Blanc seems to have the monopoly when it comes to the whites that New Zealand exports. We rejoiced when we discovered the quality of this Chardonnay from Marlborough. Put through partial malolactic fermentation (that’s wine speak for the process of softening the wine), this jumps out the glass with an accent of peach and melon. A creamy textural palate reveals citrus and lemon zest and some balanced acids on the finish. This will definitely change the way you view Chardy.
Wild South Wines
Wild South describe their wines as the ‘real taste of Marlborough’, besides the spin, this is just a great white wine that makes a change from all the Sauvignon Blanc of the region. It shows varietal aromas of pear, apple and honey before a well-structured and slippery mouthfeel that’s full of peach and honey flavours. Great drinking with spicy Asian dishes or grilled fish with a Moroccan influence.

We know that you love the great taste of Sauvignon Blanc and we’re wild about this release from Marlborough. This is boutique winemaking at its best, displaying everything we could ask for from a Kiwi savvy. The nose offers melon and guava while the palate rewards with vital fruit flavours of passionfruit, before delivering a long, fresh finish. Crisp and refreshing, serve chilled with some seafood.

A rich earthy bouquet is balanced by nuances of spice, cherry stone and blackberry. Balanced tannins and acids carry this richness through to the palate with lingering notes of violets and thyme. A wine to be enjoyed in all seasons. Wild South Wine Awards & Accolades Blue Gold Medal: 2011 Sydney Top 100 Wine Competition

A delicious blend of fresh fruits and soft florals make this a very attractive wine. Fresh ripe limes and nectarines combine with subtle underlying notes of perfumed carnation. Luscious notes of ripe pear, orange peel and grapefruit give incredible intensity. Intrigning hints of oilyness lie quietly under the rich fruit layers which will develop to rich honeyed characters in the years to come.

Inviting aromas of vanilla biscuits, old fashioned piping hot apple crumble and 1980s Banana Chews flow generously on to a delicate combination of fresh crisp red apples and hand picked peaches. Soft luscious notes of nectarine and yellow plum play on the palate to give an oily lift to what becomes a long lingering finish.
Wild South Wines
Warm inviting aromas of ripe pear and rich quince give this wine a lifted heady fragrance which is softly balanced by delicate floral notes. The palate continues to surprise with sweet lemon & lime notes providing a wonderful structure to the wine but at the same time a seamless depth & flow on the palate is retained. Tropical notes of banana & melon linger on the long finish.
