Launched in 2005, Willunga 100 is the project of UK importer Liberty Wines, headed by David Gleave MW, and industry veteran and former MD of Oddbins, John Ratcliffe.
The Willunga 100 wines themselves are produced from top quality McLaren Vale fruit, from vines with an average age of 50 years, with the main fruit source being the Willunga 100 vineyard.
Willunga 100 Wine Types
The Willunga 100 range is effectively split into two sides. On one hand lies the white wines, which are often produced with some Adelaide Hills fruit, with a Pinot Gris and a Viognier. On the other hand is the reds, all produced from the Willunga 100 vineyard. These wines include a Shiraz Viognier, Grenache and Cabernet Shiraz.
