GARNACHA WINES

It smells as if oranges really could grow on almond trees! Vibrant, juicy sweet-spicy berry fruits, lifted by sugar and alcohol smell beautifully boozed like liqueur cherries, tamed by magnificent tannin and acid, this is a sweet-savoury multi-dim...

GARNACHA WINES

Ashy regional nose, with fat cherry and red lipsticky fruit. Plush sweet berries are framed by classic- Priorat orange juice and carrot notes and cut by characteristic terroir mineral soiliness. This is incredibly good value Priorat. Made from 85%...

GARNACHA WINES

Cracka is going crazy on Spanish wines and why - because we love them and reckon there is no better value going round. This is our little Welcome to Spain pack - just a taste of all that makes Spanish wine so damn good. We've got a handful of savo...

The new D.O. of Montsant encircles D.O. Priorato, and the best sites are very reminiscent of its more famous neighbour. Dry, stony mountain soils (Llicorella) planted in the main to wonderful old Garnacha bush vines. The wines are wonderfully conc...

GARNACHA WINES

Medium to deep red colour, slight brick-red edge. Very savoury, developed, meat-stock, earth and leather aromas, some cedar wood as well. Pepper and spice building as it airs. Palate is firm, dry and taut, with big structure and grip, but also hea...

GARNACHA WINES

Deep red colour, slight purple tinges. Floral and charred-oak aromas, red fruits and a touch of animal. Loads of drying tannins, savoury and grippy, conveying a certain rusticity. Not a wine of subtlety or elegance. Big grip and structure.

GARNACHA WINES

Deep purple/red. Very good colour. Super-ripe fruit: plum, violets and sweet blackberry coulis. Deep and intense, but quite primary and fruity. Balanced tannins and bright acidity. Needs more time to build character and complexity.

GARNACHA WINES

Deep red/purple colour. Bright, but somewhat shrill and primary red fruit aromas of blood plums. Same in mouth: lively and firm. Taut and nicely structured with light, but dry tannin finish. Slightly sour cherry finish. Good early drinking red.

GARNACHA WINES

Deep red/purple colour; fresh, youthful, fruit-driven aroma of red and dark fruits, plum pips and the tannins are firm and tight with a little toughness on the finish. A touch of overripeness in the dried-fruit overtones. Not very elegant.

GARNACHA WINES

This is 100 per cent Spanish grenache (where it's known as Garnacha) and it's imported in to Australia by the pioneering The Spanish Acquisition. This is a beauty. It's a chewy, sinewy wine and yet it's rich with ripe, complex, meaty flavour too...
