SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

From ex-Grange maker John Duval comes this elegant and juicy SGM. Scents of raspberries, dark cherries and deli-meats rise appealingly out of the glass, before the palate chimes in with red and black berry tastes, a lick of toast, chalky tannins, ...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Hand picking and prolonged fermentation of our Grenache (60%) blended with Dry Land Shiraz (40%) has resulted in sweet lifted aromas of blackberry, pepper and liquorice with flavours of dark fruit and chocolate. The wine has a silky mouth feel...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

A cool and spicy wine this, drawn from a vintage that was wet and cool. What it has meant is a lighter wine, a spicier wine than in many previous years, yet still with that trademark Grenache fragrance. Lots of lovely bright fruit is the clincher....

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Shiraz and Grenache are natural partners - the Shiraz giving powerful sweet fruits while the Grenache can add a it of herb and spice. This is made to drink now with its supple red fruit flavours, silky tannins coupled with a generous palate.

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

The secret to this wine is all about the fabulous fruit at the core - super concentrated grapes, produced on gnarled old vines, in the epicentre of Grenache (and Shiraz) in Australia. The net result is, unsurprisingly, an intensely flavoured wine....

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

The St. Hallet name is like a promise of Barossa quality, known for their various interpretations of Shiraz from fruit sourced from different growers in the region. This mix of Shiraz and Grenache offers incredible juiciness for the price and shou...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

A new wine from our mates at Vinrock, this spicy McLaren Vale Shiraz Grenache combines the best of both grapes - a generous spoonful of chocolately Shiraz to start, lightened up by the red fruit of pretty Grenache through the middle and finishing ...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Medium red colour, purple edge. Vanilla, chocolate aromas, slightly herbal. A thread of greenness in this reappears on palate. Quite tight, firm and a little bony. OK if inexpensive.

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Medium to deep red colour, faint purple and brick-red tinges. Sappy, herbal and spice aromas, with aniseed nuances. Rather harsh in the mouth, some astringency from bitey acidity and edgy tannins. Pleasant wine, with good flavour and length. A sli...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Deep purple/pink colour. Shrill, simple red fruit aroma, almost like raspberry cordial. Very fresh and fruity, full in the mouth and fairly sweet, but not unbalanced. It is a rich, full flavoured style. Long, fairly clean finish.

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Deep purple/red colour, vibrant. Very attractive, fresh, spicy aromas, clean and lifted with peppery cool-year Rhone-like character. Light to medium-bodied and soft, balanced, flavoursome and oh-so quaffable. A twist of black licorice. Good finish...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Medium to full red colour, slight purple tints. Strongly oak-marked, with a vanilla dominant nose. The palate is light to medum-bodied and simple. Some edginess to the tannins. A perfectly adequate everyday drinking red at the right price.

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Light brick-red/tawny colour. Very mature, gentle, earthy and faintly leathery bouquet. Has mellowed out into a light-boded, fairly lean wine with some alcohol syrupiness and pleasant drinkability. Still drinking, but a bit past its peak.

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Sources from Reilly's oldest vineyards, the fruit for this wine was hand picked before being open fermented and maturing in American and French oak. The result is an intense wine with sweet fruit flavours, gentle spice and fine tannins giving a pl...

SHIRAZ GRENACHE WINES

Yesterday I lined up 100 Barossa reds priced from $17 to over $100 and of all the bottles I could have kept aside to drink with dinner, this little $20 beauty scored the gig. I love it because it's perfumed, fragrant, vibrant and accented by crunc...

Artfully composed, elegant and savoury, with a deeply floral, lightly herbal, dusty and spicy bouquet of fresh blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and cassis tightly knit with fresh, fine-grained and particularly aromatic chocolatey, cedary oak...
