So viscous, rich, concentrated and complex it is hard to imagine there is a level higher than the Grand, but the magnificent Old Premium (all but in name Rare) delivers it.

Pale walnut colour; has good varietal character, with a tea leaf/butterscotch bouquet, and cleansing rancio notes on the spicy palate do not diminish the varietal lift.

Dense olive-brown/mahogany; sublimely rich and focused, with obvious age, but magically fresh on the finish and aftertaste (as it should be) courtesy of a touch of much younger material.

Dark brown, with rich, tarry coffee bean aromas and an extremely complex chocolaty/mocha palate showing great age intensity and balance and tremendous length of flavour.

Hints of espresso coffee and cold tea on the nose. Lush and buttery in the mouth, with treacle-like flavours and leathery aged rancio notes.
