Though Wolf Blass had been producing wines in the Barossa Valley since 1966, the winery of his name only took shape in 1973 with the purchase of a 2.5 hectare land holding just outside of Nurioopta at the northern end of the Barossa. The juggernaut that is now Wolf Blass wines had humble beginnings before rapid expansion converted the small operation into the highly successful commercial enterprise it is today.
Wolf Blass Location
Wolf Blass originated from the Barossa Valley and still has a home in the original source location, but now produces wines and selects grapes from vineyards across South Australia, including Adelaide Hills, Eden Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek and Coonawarrra.
Wolf Blass Wine Styles
An endless spectrum of wine styles is created a Wolf Blass with an extensive portfolio of single varietal wines and blends available. Noble varietals feature heavily, but the over arching theme is wines created for cellaring or immediate consumption.
