Red - Barbera
Barbera is native to the northern Italian region of Piedmont where it is seen as prince to the king of Nebbiolo in the famous communes of Barolo and Barbaresco. Barbera is grown in a number of warm Australian regions as both a single varietal and valuable blending component. Barbera can produce exceptional wines with deep colour and characters of cherry, dried fruits and plum that age well over the medium term. It has high natural acidity, soft tannins and earthiness that make it a great food wine.
