White - Gewurztraminer

Gewürztraminer is a wonderfully distinctive aromatic variety grown largely in the French region of Alsace and Germany. Serious cool climate styles from Australia have a strong following and are capable of ageing over the medium term.

Well known for the heady fragrance of its perfume and exotic palate, it is easily recognizable. Gewürztraminer is characterised by an intense bouquet of rose petal, lychee, Turkish delight and spicy characters. It makes primarily dry and off-dry wines and some sweeter styles. They are generally medium weight with low acidity and opulent texture.
