The stripe range from Houghton has been a reliable favourite with Aussies for years. Many a gen X and Y probably popped their wine cherry with Houghton, and it still continues to be a 'go to' wine at a value price. Vibrant in colour, aromas of red berried, cherry and plummy fruits lift from the glass, along with a hint of minty freshness and red pepper. The palate is supple, soft and juicy with a raspberry centre, fine tannins, and a lick of spice on the finish. It's a value plus wine that is made for sharing.
Brilliant and bright garnet in colour with a ruby red hue, the wine displays
intense aromas of raspberry, cherry and plum fruit complemented by black
olive and hints of tomato leaf, mint and red capsicum. The juicy palate is
full of vibrant raspberry, blueberry and cherry fruits combined with
chocolate, cinnamon and clove spice. The tannin structure is soft and
supple providing an excellent example of Western Australian cabernet.
