Toro n Chups Dozen

RRP: $19.50
12 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
The pairing here is simple. Toro Loco (the crazy bull) with it's rich Shiraz goodness and then balanced out by the crisp freshness and purity of Fush n Chips. We're talking about two wines. A Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc, that are very different wines that are both equally delicious.

We recommend you drink the Fush n Chips first and finish off with the Toro Loco for the ultimate rounded evening!

Winery Showcase
Mystery NZ Winery
Our Mystery NZ Winery could be anywhere really. Anywhere in New Zealand that is. What binds them all is that we can't show you their face/reveal their real Kiwi identities. Why is that? Because if we did we'd have to kill you... Seriously though, these secret wines are largely produced by wineries that you probably know well. Wineries that need to sell some wine, but don't want to devalue their own label. Which is where we come in. What we do is agree to take a few cases of said wine in exchange for a better price (so we can sell it cheaper). The condition being that the wine can't be sold cheaper under it's original label, so they come up with a new label just for us. The end result then is the same wine, but sold cheaper at Cracka. Perhaps the only condition is that the seller usually makes us promise to keep certain details secret (like the name of the winery). Hence the mystery wine is born! The ethos with these wines is simple: - The original wine must always be a bottled and labeled product (we'll never sell cleanskins). - Our Mystery Winery wines are all covered by our full Cracka money back guarantee, purely because we know the vino in the bottle is good quality. - We'll never sell below par, 'out of condition' wines. Ever. - The intention is for bargains. Same wine, different label, cheaper result.

2011 Fush n Chups Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

RRP: $18.95
6 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
What else do you drink with fish and chips really?

After extensive testing (which involved us eating both fish and/or chips) we've landed on this Sauvignon Blanc - a crisp and snappy, gooseberry and citrus driven wine with super clear and fresh flavours topped off with some seriously fresh acidity.

We can heartily recommend this with Bream, Snapper and also Kingfish, though most fish and chips will do...

Winemaker's Note
Drawn from the Awatere Valley sub region, this shows blackcurrant and stone fruit notes on a dry and full palate. An unwooded Sauvignon Blanc style, this is all about fruit and freshness.
Cracka Contributors' Reviews
A quite simple, if nicely varietal, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with herbal hints and set off with some passionfruit juiciness. Clean, unadulterated Marlborough Sauv

Max Allen says:
$9.95 from Cracka normally, but occasionally sold through the daily auctions for less. This is advertised on Cracka with an RRP of $18.95 - but as its a made-up brand produced by a mystery winery exclusively for Cracka, thats almost irrelevant. It does, however, deliver the big flavour punch of tropical fruit that regular Marlborough savvy drinkers expect and $9.95 is a fair price.

2010 Toro Loco Barossa Valley Shiraz

RRP: $19.00
6 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
So, you're thinking beef. Or, more correctly, you're thinking steak. What to drink then? The only wine named after an angry bull... Enter the Toro Loco Shiraz, a wonderfully inky Barossan red just jammed full of rich chocolatey plum flavours on a positively silken palate. From a cracking vintage in the Barossa, this is classic generous Shiraz.
