2010 Truffle Hill Reserve Riesling

6 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
It is distractingly hard to think about Riesling when you're at a truffle farm. Or is it just me? Anyway, this Pemberton Riesling is a sprightly and engaging little number that fleshes out the dry grapefruity acidity of Pemberton Riesling with just a little sweetness. Lovely wine.
Cracka Wine Rating
Winemaker's Note
Appearance: - Very light straw, lime green hues, brilliant clarity.

Nose: - Lifted, quite forward grapefruit, lemon and lime aromas with mineral nuances.

Palate: - Medium bodied palate showing, generous, well defined varietal citrus fruit flavours. The palate shows richness with a core of steely acid in support. The finish is long and lingering with zesty citrus flavours persisting.

Fruit driven style all about retention of primary fruit flavours. This wine should express pure fruit clarity as the region, season and vineyard defines. This is a single vineyard estate grown wine. The fruit was hand picked and chilled in a cool room overnight before gentle whole bunch pressing to create an elegant, refined wine style. The character of the fruit and quality of the wine gives it tremendous aging potential. As it ages the flavours will become more complex, softer and honeyed.

Other Reviews
Attractive, lively citrus nose with drying lemon acid flavours.
