2010 Penmara Family Selection Pinot Noir

12 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
Produced off the Penmara vineyards in Orange, this is spicy full flavoured Pinot Noir in the bold and juicy style. It's like a Pinot for shiraz drinkers, a wine that is so full of flavour and body that you half expect to see it in a swimsuit mag. Luscious Pinot indeed.
Cracka Wine Rating
Winemaker's Note
This is a seductive and fleshy style of Pinot Noir. Very aromatic and full bodied with dark cherries and violets in a near perfect balance with its ripe tannins. The wine is framed by light tannins and quality oak, giving the wine great length and a generous mouth feel.

The softness of the berry fruits with a hint of spice match with milder Asian dishes such as hokkien noodles with chicken and oyster mushrooms. Alternatively the wine has enough weight to compliment lamb and red meat dishes. The wine can be enjoyed now, however will benefit from short term cellaring.
Other Reviews
Medium red-purple; while the wine does not aspire to greatness, it is well within the comfort zone of pinot noir varietal character, with warm plum and dark cherry fruit to the fore, and an unexpectedly juicy finish.
