2007 Maven Marlborough Chardonnay

12 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
If there is anywhere in the world that still does the classic, super rich and luscious style of Chardonnay then it is Marlborough, a region that is better known for it's Sauv and Pinot Noir than Chardy. This suitably looks generous and rounded and curvaceous, a lovely big mouthful of Chardonnay joy in the peak of its life. Generous stuff indeed.

Winemaker's Note
The golden-hued berries for this Chardonnay were selected from a range of premium sites in Marlborough's renowned Wairau Valley and in the hills of the adjacent Omaka Valley.

By cool fermenting a portion of the wine in stainless steel we've allowed the true character of the fruit to shine through then balanced this with a richly textured barrel component to add further depth and complexity.

This is a fresh and fruity style of Chardonnay with lovely peach and nectarine aromas and a soft, creamy texture balanced with fresh citrus notes and a long finish.
