2001 Viking Wines Shiraz Cabernet

12 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
Now looking mature and rounded, this dense and luscious berry laden red showcases all of the intensity that the clay and sand soils of the western Barossa are known for. You can almost taste the red dirt on this chocolatey red too - its wonderfully earthen and savoury and rich. Lovely aged red.

Winemaker's Note
Deep and vibrant in colour, this wonderful fuse of two premium varieties compliment each other with a bouquet of earthy spice and rich ripe berries, the flavours coming through on the palate with compote of fruit, spice and liquorice.

Other Reviews
Medium purple-red; the bouquet has a curious mix of spice, earth, olive and blackberry, the differing inputs coming through again on the sweet, lush palate, with its rich texture and mouthfeel. Seems much riper than the 14 degrees disclosed on the label. A 50/50 blend.
