2011 Yantaringa Adelaide Hills Sem Sauv Blanc

12 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka Review
Strictly speaking Semillon doesn't play a massive part in Adelaide Hills vineyards, as the region is more of a Sauvignon spot than anything else. What it does do however is flesh out sharper bits of Adelaide Hills Sauv, giving more roundness, more texture and generally more weight to some quite snappy Sauv Blanc fruit. Refreshing stuff nonetheless.
Cracka Wine Rating
Winemaker's Note
Appearance: Pale golden straw with bright green hues.

Nose: Very aromatic and lively, intensely fresh citrus and green apple, balanced with gooseberry, guava and lychee aromas and a hint of pineapple.

Palate: A well balanced wine with a very tight acid structure. Upfront tropical fruits with lively green apple acidity on the middle palate. The wine finishes with more citrus fruit and textural minerality with balanced acidity and a gentle roundness.

Food: This wine has great fruit length and tight acidity which make it an ideal wine to enjoy with seafood.
