2010 Richemont du Chateau de Sours Red
12 x 750ml Bottles
Cracka ReviewProduced by renowned Bordeaux volume producer Chateau de Sours, this savoury Merlot dominant red showcases minty, leafy Merlot fruit in a very classic Bordeaux style. Hardly a profound wine but authentic, easy and speak with a clear French accent.
Winemaker's NoteThis wine is made from 78% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc from our younger vines and was picked in perfect conditions in late September and early October. The colour is a light to medium red and shows a a lovely bright and clean appearance. On the nose it displays some fine fresh and intense Cabernet notes with hints of menthol, raspberry and sugar barley that combine nicely with the ripe fruit roundness and elegance of the Merlot. On the palate it displays sweet concentrated blackberry and blackcurrant flavours, with soft round tannins, a delicate structure and a pleasant fruity finish. It is already drinking well and is an ideal lunchtime or light dinner wine.
