      • James Halliday says:

Ultra-classic toast and kerosene; abundant mid-palate gentle lime juice flavours, are perfectly balanced by quite soft acidity on the finish.

        Australian Wine Companion 2005 2004

        Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says:

With some of the juicy roundness of a modern Alsatian riesling, this creamy and generously flavoured wine has a chalky chassis of fine Eden Valley phenolics. Its delicate floral aromas of citrusy and apple-like fruit have a pleasing dusty earthiness, while lemony/limey acids tightly define the slightly oily palate.

        Australian Wine Annual 2006 2005

        Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says:

Light, slightly confectionary aromas of lemon sherbet, spicy apple and pear. Long and juicy, but reasonably phenolic and chalky palate whose pleasing varietal flavours culminate in a persistent and tangy finish. Pleasing balance.

        Australian Wine Annual 2005 2004

        Jeremy Oliver (2000 Vintage) says:

Round, slightly coarse and cloying riesling whose developed bouquet of toast, butter and lemon sherbet reveals undertones of baby powder, cold tea and apricots. Juicy, forward and confectionary, its palate lacks length and freshness, delivering a cloying and almost oily palate with greenish edges. Perhaps such wines should only be released from the better vintages.

        Australian Wine Annual 2006 2005

        Jeremy Oliver (1999 Vintage) says:

Fresh, lively and youthful aromas of lime juice and lemon rind, backed by lightly spiced nuances of toast and honey. Long and lively, punctuated by refreshing mineral acidity, it's vital and vibrant, delivering delightfully intense citrus and pear/apple flavour along a smooth palate over fine-grained chalky phenolics.

        Australian Wine Annual 2005 2004

        James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says:

Glowing yellow-green; a very toasty bouquet with some bottle-developed kerosene aromas is followed by a palate with much more lime fruit than the bouquet suggests, although the toasty characters are still there.
